WHAT IS LONG PULSE YAG VASCULAR TREATMENT

Vascular laser treatment is a procedure that addresses vascular lesions, including spider veins, rosacea, and port wine stains. This treatment functions by focusing on the blood vessels in the targeted region, applying heat to them, and causing damage. Subsequently, the body gradually reabsorbs these damaged vessels. red-colored vessels are the easiest & quickest to remove.

WHAT DOES THE LONG PULSE YAG DO?

Long Pulsed YAG Laser allows the practitioner to precisely treat visible vessels, broken capillaries, spider veins, and vascular lesions by using laser energy. The treatment is tailored to match one’s skin condition and desired result. All skin areas can be treated with the LPY laser. The laser gives energy to the skin, which is absorbed by blood vessels, port wine stains, hemangiomas, angiomas and other vascular lesions. This relatively quick, comfortable procedure can eliminate blood vessels by precise tissue heating, i.e. energy is directed toward the vessels alone and does not alter the surrounding skin.

Usually, the vessels collapse during the treatment session, but there may be some post-treatment redness and swelling. On occasion, it may take several days to see the vessel/color fade or additional treatment may be needed.

Following treatment sessions with aggressive sun protection practices may produce longer-lasting results and prevent formation of similar lesions.

The Spectrum’s Long Pulsed Yag laser is proven to improve/erase the appearance of existing veins on the face and legs.Eliminating veins with the long pulsed Yag laser is quick and effective.
